I have stretch marks from my first pregnancy. They go all across my stomach and are red/darkish and BIG. I even used this cocoa butter made especially for stretch marks every single day to try and prevent them.
Now I am on my second pregnancy, and using the cocoa butter again, even though I doubt it is gonna help.
It’s totally not fair either cause my mom had 4 kids and never got one stretch mark and she was skinny as a rail for 3 of them and now after the 4th she’s kinda chubby.
I’m a lil on the chub side too. I’m wondering if there is anything I can do right now that I didn’t do last time to help with the stretch marks.
Also, what can I do after the pregnancy?
Thanks in advance for the answers :)

Safe Pregnancy Stretch Mark Treatment

Stretch marks do not only occur during pregnancy, but for those who have just given birth stretch mark scars are a real concern.

One of the first questions many women have after getting pregnant is what can I do to prevent the occurrence of stretch marks. Is there a safe stretch mark remedy for after pregnancy?

To understand treatment of stretch marks after pregnancy it is important to know what causes stretch marks.

Stretch marks are actually the result of increased strain and stress upon the inner skin layers. This can be caused by rapid weight gain, fast growth periods such as experienced during adolescence, and also during pregnancy.

Stretch marks are not just limited to women. Men can also develop stretch marks from weight gain or even from working out increasing muscle mass.

When the inner layers of skin tear from the stress and strain of the underlying tissue growth, scars develop and create the appearance of multiple lines of what appears to be thinning skin tissue.

Excessive skin stretching is only one cause of stretch marks. Another factor is the decrease of collagen and elastin fiber formation in the skin tissues. Sufficient collagen is required to provide support and strength for the skin.

A pregnancy stretch mark cream which improves collagen is most beneficial. A natural product which encourages production of collagen can effectively be used for prevention of stretch marks. This would be especially helpful during pregnancy when hormonal changes can effect collagen production..

Choosing a natural product will be safer to use than an unnatural product. Treatment of stretch marks is dependent upon increasing and improving the collagen content, production of new skin cells, and providing moisture to the skin.

Pregnancy stretch mark cream and other stretch mark treatment products that are most successful will encourage skin cell production, improve quality of new skin cells, allow for skin regeneration and stimulation maintaining proper skin moisture.

A lot of products available on the market claim to provide results but without all of the necessary ingredients fail to provide the results for which claims were made.

Some of the most effective ingredients include Squalene oil, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Vitamin D3a, Pro-vitamin B5, Aloe Vera extract, and Grapefruit seed extract. These ingredients together effectively work on both prevention and treatment of stretch marks.

Revitol is a safe stretch mark cream which includes all the natural ingredients necessary to provide results in prevention and treatment of stretch marks before, during and after pregnancy.

Cosmetic Laser Stretch Mark Removal Treatment – Transform Your Stretch Marks into a Faded Memory

www.amacorp.com Scars and stretch marks are all very different and delicate to treat. We customize each individual scar and stretch mark removal treatment for every patient. Scars and stretch marks are typically treated with three different lasers in each session. First, every scar or stretch mark is individually targeted. Next, we do an overall color blending of the scar area (painting), causing the turn-over of your base-line melanin (old melanin is replaced with new) which evens out your coloration. Thirdly, to fill in the scar from the inside out, we will stimulate the production of collagen with an intense collagen treatment. This targets old deteriorated collagen deep in the dermis in order to accelerate its removal by your bodys own natural processes. We will also target fibroblast cells throughout your dermis, stimulating them to produce amplified quantities of new young collagen. The last portion of the scar and stretch mark removal treatment will smooth out the surface of your scar with an epidermal resurfacing (laser peel). This phase removes a few microns (30-50%) of the epidermis (the dead cells on the top layer of your skin), along with its imperfections, discolorations, fine wrinkles and roughness. Scar and stretch mark removal usually will take approximately 4-6 treatments in 3-4 week intervals. Video produced by Spore Medical, http

A special thanks, and some extra encouragement!

All of you that send me little things like this are awesome. :) Ya’ll are all so beautiful and special in your own way, no matter what you look like! Next to the picture it reads: “A mark for every breath you took, every blink, every sleepy yawn. One for every time you sucked your thumb, waved hello, closed your eyes and slept in the most perfect darkness. One for every time you had the hiccups. One for every dream you dreamed within me. It isn’t very pretty anymore. Some may even think it ugly. That’s OK. It was your home. It’s where I first grew to love you, where I lay my hand as I dreamed about who you were and who you would be. It held you until my arms could, and for that, I will always find something beautiful in it.”

How to avoid getting stretchmarks from pregnancy [3 month postpartum update]

I forgot to add, it’s a good idea to put it on DIRECTLY after a shower. Your pores open up from the hot water and soak it in even better. I hope this helps!
